On November 20, 2024, PSU under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) from the Republic of India. This collaboration is set to enhance academic partnerships and foster cooperation between PSU and educational institutions in India’s northeastern region. The signing ceremony was held at the President Office Building, PSU Hat Yai Campus, with participants joining both in person and virtually via Zoom.
This collaboration is a result of an initiative by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with PSU and other leading universities in Thailand. The initiative seeks to strengthen Thailand’s academic and cultural engagement with the northeastern region of India. As part of this visionary project, university representatives embarked on visits to several academic institutions in Assam and Meghalaya, Republic of India. They also organized dynamic networking activities, fostering connections and mutual understanding. These efforts represent a meaningful step in cultivating relationships and creating opportunities for future collaboration.
The signing of this MoU symbolizes a new chapter of friendship and cooperation, unlocking opportunities for mutually enriching collaboration. This partnership is anticipated to bring profound benefits for students, faculty, and institutions alike, while also contributing to the advancement of international relations and fostering a global exchange of knowledge and innovation.
