On November 8, 2024, executives from 15 private educational institutions under the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Indonesia (APTISI) in North Sumatra, led by Prof. Dr. Saiful Anwar Matongang, a representative of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (MoECRT), visited Prince of Songkla University (PSU). The delegation engaged in discussions about potential academic collaborations and was warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Janya Chanchaichujit, Assistant President for Promotion of Foreign Affairs, along with PSU staff at the President Office Building, PSU Hat Yai Campus.
The visit aimed to strengthen academic collaboration between PSU and private universities in North Sumatra. The delegation proposed diverse initiatives, including joint research in four key fields: Nursing, Agricultural Resources, Biomedical Sciences, and Entrepreneurship. They also highlighted the value of faculty exchange programs and suggested establishing an academic collaboration agreement between PSU and APTISI to outline the scope of future joint activities and initiatives.
The visit offered a valuable opportunity to connect, promote, and support educational activities for universities in North Sumatra, Republic of Indonesia. The collaboration aspires to enhance the potential of students and staff while advancing joint research initiatives to drive future development.
