From December 7–14, 2024, a delegation from PSU, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Janya Chanchaichujit, Assistant President for Promotion of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by 19 students, visited Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST) in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, China. The visit was part of the “PSU-JXUST Youth Speech on ESG 2024: Best Practice Sharing" program, reflecting over three decades of academic collaboration and commitment to fostering global partnerships.
The PSU delegation engaged in fruitful discussions aimed at advancing academic collaboration across various fields, including faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, and scholarship opportunities. Prof. Dr. Huang Zhifan, Vice President of JXUST, warmly welcomed the group and emphasized the long-standing partnership of over 30 years between the two institutions and emphasizing their shared vision to broaden future collaborations. As part of the visit, the delegation toured the School of Information Engineering, School of Science, School of Foreign Languages, and School of Chemical Engineering, exploring opportunities for deeper cooperation. Meanwhile, a dedicated team from PSU’s Faculty of Engineering, led by Dr. Pichamon Sirisinudomkit, met with faculty from JXUST's School of Material Science and Engineering and School of Architecture and Design to discuss promising avenues for academic and research collaborations.
During the visit, 14 PSU students from various faculties and campuses had valuable opportunities to participate in cultural and educational exchanges. On December 10, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Janya, in collaboration with Prof. Liu Daowei from the School of Foreign Languages, organized the session titled "Youth Speech on ESG Project: Sharing Best Practices." This event served as a platform for students from both PSU and JXUST to exchange insights on best practices in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) from both Thailand and China. The students presented innovative ideas and concepts related to sustainable development, fostering an enriching environment of collaboration and knowledge-sharing. The session not only provided a deeper understanding of ESG but also strengthened the cross-cultural bonds between the two institutions.
Additionally, on December 12, 2024, students from PSU and JXUST engaged in cultural exchange activities that highlighted the arts and traditions of both Thailand and China. The event featured a variety of performances, allowing students to showcase their respective cultural heritages. In addition to the performances, recreational activities were organized to foster stronger connections and friendships between Thai and Chinese students. International students studying at JXUST also participated, sharing their talents and joining in the activities, which created a vibrant and memorable experience.
