On 10-11 May 2022, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua graciously designated Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana to confer degrees to PSU graduates of academic year 2020 at the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King's Accession to the Throne International Convention Center (ICC), Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, Hat Yai, Songkhla.
This year, the PSU Council has requested to present an honorary Doctorate of Education Degree for Elementary Education to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Her Royal Highness has immeasurable appreciation for Thai education, especially in the field of primary education. Her Royal Highness has been continually dedicated to helping, promoting, and improving the quality of education in rural areas, and to providing quality and comprehensive educational opportunities to rural Thai youth.
In this regard, Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana conferred honorary degrees to eight qualified persons:

PSU was established in accordance with the southern development policy to produce graduates, research, academic services, and to preserve arts and culture, focusing on the development of people and the community. Currently, PSU offers 336 courses.
Last year, PSU has established a COVID-19 information and monitoring center. Patients were treated at Songklanagarind Hospital, at a field hospital, and a vaccination center. PSU provided support to COVID-19 research, and established student volunteer programs by allocating scholarships and reducing tuition fees.
