PSU’s Phuket Campus opened the new Chinese cultural center “Phuket Confucius Institute”, offering students an opportunity to study Chinese language and culture.

       In October 2021, PSU’s Phuket Campus organized the opening ceremony of the new Chinese cultural center. The event was presided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prathana Kannaovakun, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Phuket Campus, and attended by administration, staff, and other stakeholders.

       The Phuket Confucius Institute was established to provide education in Chinese language and culture to interested students in order to develop their knowledge in a formal, standardized way. The center features modern facilities useful for teaching and learning Chinese calligraphy and painting, alongside an exhibition area for performances such as guzheng show, tea making ceremony, and Tai Chi. The facility can also serve as a venue for online and onside meetings.
