Prince of Songkla University has been ranked 6th in Thailand, 269th in Asia, and 1086th in the world, according to the announcement of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities in July 2021. Ranking indicators consist of visibility (50%), excellence (40%), and transparency (10%).

       The "Webometrics Ranking of World Universities" is published by Cybermetrics Lab or Internet Lab, a research group of the National Research Council of Spain, which has been operating since 2004. The rankings are published twice a year during January and July through the website http://www.webometrics.info/en
