Exploring ASEAN 2019: Vietnam

Exploring ASEAN 2019 Vietnam

PSU has been successfully organizing the valuable program “Exploring ASEAN” since 2013. This program enables PSU students to broaden their horizon and experience the culture and history of ASEAN member countries through the perspectives of natives.

This year, the program was arranged at Hanoi University (HANU) in Vietnam, between June 11-14, 2019. Twenty-five PSU representatives, led by the Assistant President for Promotion of Foreign Affairs, were warmly welcomed by the Head of International Affairs Office and students of HANU.

Through this visit, PSU and HANU students made full use of the opportunities to share and gain in-depth knowledge and experiences about the way of life, outstanding places, architecture, and religions and beliefs of Thailand and Vietnam, through entertaining and informative presentations.

In addition, PSU delegates visited charming local places, including Bát Trang, where they learned to make several different styles of pottery, and Halong Bok, where they enjoyed the beautiful riverside scenery while paddling through Ninh Binh's limestone landscape.

In Vietnam’s capital, the adventurous PSU students took upon themselves to explore 36 picturesque streets in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, acquaint themselves with the locals, and absorb Vietnamese culture through real-life experiences.
