Eight delegates from the Center for Global Sustainability Studies (CGSS) of the University Sains Malaysia (USM), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norizan Md Nor, Director of CGSS, visited PSU on October 8, 2012. They were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Perapong Tekasakul, Vice President for Research Systems and Graduate Studies; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krerkchai Thongnoo, Vice President for Information Technology and Physical Structure; and other PSU representatives. The objective of the visit was to discuss collaboration between PSU and USM in Sustainable Development and Education for Sustainable Development, since both our universities are members of ProSPER.Net.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Perapong expressed PSU's appreciation to CGSS representatives for their support during the application process for ProSPER.Net membership. PSU was accepted as a member of ProSPER.Net on July 9, 2012. This allows our university to work closer with CGSS and the other ProSPER.Net members for sustainable development. Also, as USM is known as "the university in a garden," PSU would like to learn more from our CGSS friends, in order to create a green campus at PSU. A PSU delegation will visit USM in the near future to discuss this matter further.
