On September 29, 2014, PSU had the honor of receiving Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akhsan Djalaluddin, President of West Sulawesi University (WSU), Indonesia, and his team. The objective of the visit was to initiate academic cooperation with PSU and discuss future possible collaborative activities. Asst. Prof. Dr. Ram Yamsaengsung, PSU Assistant President for International Affairs, together with Vice Deans from the faculties of Engineering and Nursing, and representatives from the PSU International Affairs Office, warmly welcomed our honorable guests.

During the meeting, several areas of possible collaboration were identified, such as short-term training programs at PSU for the WSU nursing students, academic staff development programs, research collaboration in oil palm, marine and natural resources, fishery, etc. The future signing of the MOU between WSU and PSU was also considered.

Our distinguished guests had the chance to visit the PSU farms under the supervision of the Faculty of the Natural Resources. The WSU delegates invited PSU representatives to visit their university and explore even more possible collaborations.
