Mr. Krittisak Chaiyakul, a sixth-year secondary school student at Saengthong Vitthaya School in Hat Yai, participated in the Academic Olympiad Camp at Prince of Songkla University (PSU) since his first year at the secondary school. Several Academic Olympiad Camps are yearly organized by The Promotion of Academic Olympiad and Development of Science Education Foundation under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra (POSN).
Mr. Krittisak Chaiyakul won the bronze medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics 2013, held in Brisbane, Australia, from 6-13 July 2013. A total of 299 contestants from 77 countries participated to the 2013 Olympiad. Except the award and international competition experience, Mr. Krittisak also got the Academic Olympiad Fund of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra to study abroad from Bachelor’s to Doctoral degree.
Attending the Academic Olympiad Camp at Prince of Songkla University was for Mr. Krittisak the beginning that inspired him to study informatics, and made him discover that solving computer problems can be fun and challenging in the same time.
