Assoc. Prof. Dr. Opas Pimpa was named Man of the Year (R&D) by the Thai Awards Committee. Dr. Pimpa is the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at PSU’s Surat Thani Campus. He has been working in research and development for nearly 20 years, with a focus on animal science and ruminant nutrition, along with rural workplace development.

Dr. Pimpa is a respected authority in his field, and his research works have been published in academic journals both in Thailand and abroad. An author of books and technical manuals, Dr. Pimpa is also frequently consulted by various agricultural agencies and organizations.

Such outstanding accomplishments, coupled with a dedication to improve society, made Dr. Pimpa a perfect candidate for the prestigious award, and a role model to follow.
