Rangsit University generously hosted a joint PSU delegation from the International College and International Affairs Office, on 8 Sept. 2014. The delegates, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ram Yamsaengsung, Assistant President of International Affairs and Director of PSU International College, were warmly welcomed by Dr. Chitriya Pinthong, Vice President for International Affairs RSU, and colleagues.
Welcoming Meeting
The cordial visit featured a presentation by Mr. Jeroen Schedler, Assistant President for International Affairs, regarding the renowned and effective P2A (Passage to ASEAN) program, one of RSU’s key assets for internationalization. The informative presentation was followed by an overview of the structure and policies of the RSU International College, highlighting the issue of effective resource management, inbound/outbound exchange student data and a discussion on the scope and guidelines of the RSU International Service Center.
Facility Tour
After the discussion, the delegation toured the campus facilities and paid a special visit to Rangsit International College (RIC), where administrators exchanged ideas on structure, policies and possible activities together. In the afternoon, delegates visited RSU’s renowned Communication Arts Program and Information Communication and Technology Programs under the RIC.
An entertaining and informative visit to RSU’s Performing Arts Center showcased RSU’s state-of-the-art digital equipment and student activities. An enlightening discussion at RSU’s International Affairs Office closed the program.
Conclusion
Overall, this study visit yielded novel ideas for improving PSU’s internationalization strategies, and opened up new venues for cooperation with RSU, a prestigious academic institution. PSU delegates are grateful for the hospitality displayed by their colleagues at RSU, and hope to reciprocate this courtesy in the future.
