The 4th NANO Plus Center at PSU

A Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of the 4th NANO Plus Center (TTN Network Center) at Prince of Songkla University (PSU) was signed on September 18, 2013, between NANOTEC and PSU. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wilaiwan Chotigeat, PSU Dean of the Faculty of Science, signed the agreement together with Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Executive Director of NANOTEC.

The aim of the 4th NANO Plus Center is to collaborate with NANOTEC in promoting understanding about nanotechnology in schools and universities. The other three NANO Plus Centers are based in the north of Thailand (Rajamongkol Lanna University of Technology, Chiang Rai), northeast (Udon Thani Rajabhat University), and central region (Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi).

The collaboration we are undertaking today coincides with the National Nanotechnology Framework, recently approved by the government, which includes the need to promote public understanding and awareness about the nanotechnology development” said Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Executive Director of NANOTEC. It is expected that the four centers will promote nanotechnology understanding to approximately 100,000 citizens per year.
