Researchers from the PSU Trace Analysis and Biosensor Research Center and Faculty of Science received two gold medals, one of silver medal, and one special prize at the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2013 held in Seoul City, Republic of Korea, from November 29-December 2, 2013. Two research works got golden medals and one received a silver medal and the special prize, as follows:
- The invention “Novel cost-effective sorbent for toxic chemicals analysis”, which received a gold medal, was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Proedpit Kanatarana (Head of research team), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panot Tawarangkun, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jongdee Tammakaet, and Dr. Pamonrat Gueaseng.
- The invention “Real time capacitive affinity sensor system”, which also received a gold medal, was accomplished by Prof. Dr. Panot Tawarangkun (Head of research team), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Proedpit Kanatarana, Assoc. Prof. Boonjarean Wongkittisuksa, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul, Asst. Prof. Dr. Warakorn Limboot, Dr. Arporn Noomnuam, Asst. Prof. Pannee Assawatrirattanakun, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chitanon Buranachai, Dr.Supaporn Dawan, and Dr.Suchera Tanaimit.
- The invention “Zinc Field Test Kit” received a silver medal and the special prize from Taiwan. The special prize is the award that a foreign country gives to an outstanding and interesting research.
