Concerning the newest program of the Department of Business Administration at the PSU Faculty of Management Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jongpid Sirirat, Dean, revealed that a Bachelor of Business Administration in Meeting Incentive Convention and Exhibition Management (MICE) has been developed in cooperation with the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB). The program aims to produce graduate students under the need of the labor market for MICE industry. The program started this academic year, in June 2013, with a more-than-expected enrollment of 61 first-generation students.

The faculty is ready to provide extensive support for the program, including budget, staff development, and training location for students at the state-of-the-art PSU International Convention Center. The program is aiming to reach international quality standards within the next two years in the same time with the establishment of the ASEAN Community, which will generate an increase in the MICE activity.

Dr. Jongpid said that until now there has been a significant lack of staff for the MICE industry, making this program a golden opportunity for those who want to work in this field. PSU is the first university ever offering a Bachelor of Business Administration in Meeting Incentive Convention and Exhibition Management in Thailand. Furthermore, TCEB signed Memoranda of Understanding with 48 universities throughout the country, encouraging MICE to be one of the required courses.
