What do you get when 7,773 Prince of Songkla University students and their families and friends converge for a long weekend at PSU's Hat Yai campus? A lot of people, food, photos, flowers, music, dancing, and all-around fun (and traffic!). Or, as most people call it, graduation.

Indeed there were more graduates than usual taking part in the Class of 2012 commencement ceremony at the PSU 60th Anniversary of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne International Convention Center (ICC), held from November 10 – 12, 2012, and presided over by HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak. And more graduates means more guests: more than 40,000 visitors poured onto the PSU campus for the annual festivities.

Graduates and their relatives and friends could be seen all over campus during the four-day celebration, as they took advantage of the impressive grounds and facilities of Thailand's 5th-ranked university. Among the activities enjoyed were picnics on the lawns; tours of faculties, centers, and institutes; meetings with esteemed professors, deans, and other students; and photos in front of the multitude of gorgeous, faculty-sponsored backdrops.

Of the 7,773 diplomas bestowed by Her Royal Highness, there were 6,657 bachelor's degrees, 1,048 master's degrees, and 68 doctorates, reaffirming PSU's status as the largest university in southern Thailand.

All five PSU campuses were represented, with students from Phuket, Trang, Surat Thani, Pattani, and, of course, Hat Yai, earning degrees in disciplines such as Liberal Arts, Engineering, Nursing, and everything in-between.

That's graduation. And we're excited to do it again next year, for the Class of 2013.
