Prince of Songkla University (PSU) was proudly highlighted in the worldwide universities' ranking established by the National Taiwan University. PSU is ranked the 193rd out of 300 universities in the world, and the 37th in Asia for its research quality in Agricultural Sciences. Several PSU faculties are concerned, such as the Faculty of Agro-Industry and Faculty of Natural Resources in Hat Yai campus, as well as the faculties from other campuses that teach in the area of scientific agriculture. Especially, Professor Dr. Sutawat Benjakul from the Department of Food Technology at the PSU Faculty of Agro-Industry, and his research in food technology are honorably exemplified.
