PSU Formula Engineering team won prototype car invention competition and royal trophy

       PSU students from the Automotive Design and Engineering Club, Faculty of Engineering, participated in the 17th TSAE Auto Challenge 2023 Student Formula and won the first prize, receiving a royal trophy from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at the Pathum Thani Speedway Standard Racetrack, Sam Khok, Pathum Thani on 26 February 2023.

 

       The Thai Automotive Engineering Association holds the TSAE Auto Challenge Student Formula Competition on a regular basis. The event lets groups of students invent creative car prototypes, promoting innovation in the Thai automotive industry, leading Thai students to world-class competition. The Faculty of Engineering works closely with its alumni, including former members of the Formula Club, to assist students. Former advisors of the club include Asst. Prof. Dr. Wacharin Kaew-apichai and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charoenyut Dechwayukul. Currently, 29 students are in the team.

       The competition brings together faculty and students in the automotive design and engineering club, where they study, research and develop innovative automotive engineering capabilities. It is also a good use of free time, and an effective environment for learning practical soft skills such as teamwork. The Formula team received the following prizes from the competition:

       1st place overall received a royal trophy from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Best Static awards:

  • #2 Autocross
  • #3 Acceleration
  • #3 Presentation
