PSU, MFU joined 15 higher education institutions to establish the North-South University Network, build academic cooperation, research, and innovation

       A PSU team of administrators and staff, led by Acting President Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, co-hosted the 1st NSU-Net Presidents' Forum with the theme “Sustainable Networking for a Better Future Together”. Alongside Mae Fah Luang University Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University Representative of the President Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nantana Gajaseni and the management team, they welcomed the attendees, and proceeded to sign an MoU of the North-South University Network (NSU-Net) between six leading higher education institutions in northern Thailand (Chiang Mai University, Mae Jo University, University of Phayao, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Mae Fah Luang University) and eleven leading higher education institutions in southern Thailand (Narathiwat Rajanagarindra University, Thaksin University, Walailak University, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Prince of Songkla University, Songkhla Rajabhat University, Yala Rajabhat University, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, Phuket Rajabhat University, Surat Thani Rajabhat University and Fatoni University), with PSU as a host at M-Square Building, Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai on 13 January 2023.

The event featured three group meetings of NSU-Net administrators as follows:

Group 1: Human resource development and management issues, developing a new generation of leaders and organizational management in the digital era.

Group 2: Joint development of modern teaching and learning, promoting the development of students' potential and skills as global citizens, staff exchange and knowledge transfer between networked universities through the Visiting Scholars project, Credit Bank, cross-institutional transfer of NSU-Net and the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) program.

Group 3: International networking, cross-university enrollment under a student exchange program, NSU-Net International Relations, organizing best practice exchange activities among NSU-Net IROs and organizing virtual mobilities or virtual camps together.

       The North-South University Network (NSU-Net) can trace its roots back to an agreement between Mae Fah Luang University and Prince of Songkla University signed on 21 February 2018 and renewed on 1 August 2021. Its main objective was to promote academic strength to mutual excellence both at the university and at the school/faculty level. This affiliation was the starting point of an extensive relationship with partner universities in the North and the South to further enhance mutually beneficial academic cooperation, research, and innovation.
