Four PSU courses certified for educational quality standards by AUN-QA 2022

     The ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) network certified four PSU courses for educational quality standards in 2022. The four courses, assessed by AUN-QA from 11 to 15 July 2022, are offered by four faculties at PSU’s Pattani Campus. Later, from 12 to 16 December 2022, two additional programs have been assessed at Hat Yai Campus, the results of which will be announced at a later date.

The six PSU programs assessed are the following:

  1. Bachelor of Nursing Science, Faculty of Nursing, Pattani Campus
  2. Bachelor of Communication Arts, Faculty of Communication Sciences, Pattani Campus
  3. Bachelor of Political Science, Faculty of Political Science, Pattani Campus
  4. Master of Science in Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, Pattani Campus
  5. Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology (International Program), Faculty of Medicine, Hat Yai Campus
  6. Bachelor of Nursing Science, Faculty of Nursing, Hat Yai Campus

       AUN-QA employs a quality assurance and curriculum-level standardization system that ensures excellence at the international level. The main objective of the network is to steer curriculum development towards a shared high standard among ASEAN member countries, while also setting a standard for exchanging students between those countries. The network aims to increase the quality of learning management for learners, teachers, and higher education institution staff, alongside fostering cooperation with educational quality agencies in other regions, ensuring a consistent higher education quality standard framework and enhancing the quality assurance expertise of ASEAN countries.

       In this regard, the four courses of the Faculty in Pattani Campus already certified by the AUN-QA network passed through AUN-QA version 3, with criteria consisting of 1) Expected Learning Outcomes 2) Program Specification 3) Program Structure and Content 4) Teaching and Learning Strategy 5) Student Assessment 6) Academic Staff Quality 7) Support Staff Quality 8) Student Quality and Support 9) Facilities and Infrastructure 10) Quality Enhancement, and 11) Output.

       The two courses at Hat Yai Campus, have been evaluated using AUN-QA version 4 criteria, which are

       1) Expected Learning Outcomes 2) Program Structure and Content 3) Teaching and Learning Approach 4) Student Assessment 5) Academic Staff 6) Student Support Services 7) Facilities and Infrastructure, and 8) Output and Outcomes.
