On 27 September 2022, PSU President Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub attended the 13th AUN Rectors' Meeting in Vientiane, Lao PDR, hosted by the National University of Laos. The ASEAN University Network (AUN) consists of 30 core members from all the ASEAN member countries, with associate memberships of more than 150 universities. Prince of Songkla University is one of the core members.

       The meeting's theme was "University Excellence and the Next Frontiers of ASEAN Higher Education: How AUN Member Universities Think, Lead, and Manage". Leading ASEAN universities discussed how to develop higher education in the region through a wide range of initiatives operated jointly under AUN. They also shared best practices in a range of fields, including fostering university talents through technology, enhancing the university through competition and cooperation in rankings/ratings, driving world-class study programs and student mobility, interdisciplinarity and the future of ASEAN higher education, and data strategies and the achievements of high-impact university missions.

       In addition, on 28 September 2022, President Niwat also participated as an observer at the 37th AUN Board of Trustee Meeting, which was chaired by Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, M.D., Ph.D. Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Thailand. The purpose of the meeting was to report on the performance of the previous year and the direction of operations and cooperation of member universities. Representatives from various important agencies attended the meeting, such as the ASEAN Secretariat, and the Ambassador of India to ASEAN.
