PSU’s 36 delegates, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Montira Leelakriangsak, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Pattani Campus, visited South China Agricultural University (SCAU), P.R. China, between 14-27 May 2019. The delegation was comprised of 15 executives and lecturers, along with 17 students from the Faculty of Natural Resources, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, and Faculty of Communication Sciences. At the same time, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wirote Youravong, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry and team also visited SCAU between 14-17 May 2019, in order to discuss possible collaboration in the area of Food Science. On 15 May, Prof. Dr. Yang Zhou, Vice President of SCAU, Dr. Yuan Juhua, Deputy Director of International Affairs, and lecturers from SCAU’s related faculties warmly welcomed the delegates.
The objective of this visit was to conduct staff and student exchange in areas of mutual interest, such as Agriculture, Food Science, Fisheries, Arts, Fashion and Costume Design. To further this objective, the delegates were offered opportunities to visit farms, laboratories, and historic places in Guangzhou city.
SCAU is one of the oldest, most established universities in China, and PSU is proud of the long-lasting partnership – since 1994 – with the prestigious institution. This annual exchange between PSU and SCAU strengthens the collaboration between two universities, while creating a closer connection between the staff and students of both institutions, who gain practical benefit from the knowledge and experience they have learned abroad.
