On 2 March 2020, PSU’s Vice President for Research and Innovation Asst. Prof. Dr. Sunton Wongsiri, M.D., along with administrators of Prince of Songkla University, welcomed the management and staff of the top five United States universities located in the Rocky Mountain States of Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Arizona. Productive discussions centered around the topic “Prospective Collaboration between Universities of Thailand’s Southern Peninsula and the U.S. Rockies”, followed by informational tours to various places of interest at PSU, including the Research and Development Office, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering and the PSU Science Park.
The U.S. Science and Technology Advisory Office places high importance on the development of cooperation with key universities in the region. Prince of Songkla University – the largest university in southern Thailand – fits that profile well, in addition to having geographical qualities and an educational system that complement the development and exchange of cooperation with the leading institutions in the Rockies.
