Students from the Faculty of Agriculture and Fisheries Innovation, PSU Surat Thani Campus, received runner-up prizes from the 2nd Young Ocean for Life Innovation Challenge under the concept of "Ocean for Life" in the eighth year of the PTTEP Teenergy project. The aim of the event was to empower the new generation to create innovative works conserving marine resources. The two award-winning works, created by the teams under the advisory supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Suwat Juthapruet, are the following:
“The Lost Year Technology Development for Bonding Satellite tags with Adhesive Rubber Material to study the behavior of Neonate sea turtles” by the STORMY team (Ms. Nattarinee Kongnoon, Ms. Kunlanut Jitnaul, and Mr. Suparoek Sasi) was awarded a prize of 10,000 baht, along with a plaque, and a certificate.
“Artificial organ for aqatic endanger species form Thermoplastic Natural Rubber 3D printing” by the A.O.A team (Mr. Authen Chaichana, Mr. Phongsatorn Khongmueang, and Ms. Sarinya Krasae) was awarded a prize of 10,000 baht, a plaque, and a certificate.
High school, vocational school, and undergraduate students nationwide submitted a total of 79 works in three themes: Protect, Preserve, and Provide. The two PSU teams’ award-winning works were submitted in the Preserve category.
