From 22 to 28 September 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, PSU Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, joined a delegation of twelve Thai higher educational institutions participating in the "Strengthening Thailand's Role in India's North Eastern Region" project. The event, held in the states of Assam and Meghalaya, India, was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote academic collaboration between Thai and Indian institutions.
During the visit, the Thai delegation engaged in networking activities with educational institutions in the North Eastern Region (NER). These activities focused on exploring potential opportunities for academic partnerships. Additionally, the delegation met with the Chief Ministers of both states and the Minister of Education of Meghalaya, aiming to enhance high-level ties between Thailand and India.
The visit garnered significant interest from institutions in India, marking a promising beginning for future collaborations between universities in Thailand and the North Eastern Region of India.
