PSU participates in Thailand Education and Job Fair 2025 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

On 7 February 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Janya Chanchaichujit, Assistant President for Promotion of Foreign Affairs, along with a delegation, participated in Thailand Education & Jobs Fair 2025 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The event, organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, aimed to foster academic networks and promote quality education for Cambodian youth.

The gathering brought together over 150 representatives from 30 Thai and Cambodian educational institutions to discuss collaboration and academic partnerships. H.E. Mr. Tull Traisorat, the Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, presided over the opening ceremony. He emphasized the significance of 2025 as the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Cambodia. Both countries have agreed to celebrate this milestone throughout the year to strengthen public awareness and deepen people-to-people ties.

Additionally, the event featured self-introductions by representatives from various educational institutions, information sessions on e-visa facilitation for travel and study, and presentations on business and trade opportunities by the Department of International Trade Promotion, and the Thai Business Council in Cambodia. The day concluded with an evening networking reception hosted by the Royal Thai Embassy.

On 8 February 2025, exhibition booths set up at Connexion, Koh Pich, to showcase for Cambodian people. Over 50 booths from leading Thai universities and private companies participated in the fair, attracting more than 500 attendees.

During the exhibition, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports of Cambodia, visited PSU’s booth and engaged in conversations with Cambodian alumni of PSU. This interaction highlighted the strong bond between PSU and its Cambodian graduates, further enhancing the university’s reputation.

PSU’s booth also featured video presentations introducing the university and interviews with current students and alumni from Cambodia. These elements captivated the audience, with over 300 Cambodian students and visitors stopping by to inquire about academic programs, scholarships, and admission requirements.

A standout feature of PSU’s participation was the presence of Cambodian alumni and current students who shared their experiences and provided valuable insights in Khmer, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their heartfelt connection to PSU resonated deeply with attendees, making the booth a focal point of interest.

PSU’s involvement in this event underscores its commitment to international collaboration and its role as a leading educational institution in the region. By strengthening ties with Cambodia, PSU continues to contribute to the development of quality education and mutual understanding between the two nations, paving the way for sustainable progress together.
