On 14 December 2021, the PSU Halal Institute opened its training center at the Office of the Islamic Committee of Samut Prakan Province.
PSU President Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub chaired the opening ceremony which was honored by Mr. Paisan Promyong, Chairman of the Islamic Committee of Samut Prakan Province, who gave a welcoming speech. The event also included a special speech by H.E. Mr. Aree Wong-araya, Former Minister of the Interior, and a supporting speech by former Senator Mr. Damrong Puttan. Futhermore, Asst. Prof. Dr. Asman Taeali, Director of PSU Halal Institute, delivered the reporting remarks.
The center will offer practical courses on Halal System Management to produce and develop a halal workforce for Thailand and meet the needs of halal personnel in the public, private, and industrial sectors. It will also be used to create jobs for unemployed graduates and those interested in learning about the management of halal systems.
The training center’s opening ceremony was also honored by H.E. Ms. Muna Abbas Mahmood Radhi, the Ambassador of Bahrain to Thailand, and H.E. Mr. Thanis Na Songkhla ,the Former Ambassador of Thailand to Bahrain. Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, PSU Vice President for International Affairs; representatives of Sheikhul Islam of Thailand, personnel of the Office of the Islamic Committee of Samut Prakan Province, the media, entrepreneurs, and distinguished guests also attended the event.
