The Global Affairs and Corporate Communications Center of Prince of Songkla University organized the “PSU Bazaar Learning Marketplace” event, responding to the policy of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, providing entrepreneurs the opportunity to share their knowledge about doing business. Adjunct Professor Dr. Anek Laothamatas, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, chaired the opening ceremony, while Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Kaewpradab, PSU President, delivered a reporting speech to the honorable guests in attendance, including Mrs. Suriyaphon Na Songkhla, Deputy Governor of Songkhla Province; Mr. Ma Fengchun, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Songkhla; Mr. Fachry Sulaiman, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Songkhla; Mr. Muhammad Ridzuan bin Abu Yazid Kong Sung Yai, Federation of Malaysia, Songkhla Province; Mr. Sawal Tantichamnaman, Senior Director - Southern Region, Central Festival Hatyai; along with PSU representatives Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Teerasak Jindabot, Director of the Global Affairs and Corporate Communications Center; and representatives from various departments of both the public and private sector, who have joined the event on the first floor of Central Festival Hatyai, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, on March 18, 2020.
Dr. Anek Laothamatas expressed his appreciation towards Prince of Songkla University for setting up the online marketplace "PSU Bazaar" in the past year to help alumni, students, staff and patrons affected by the COVID-19 epidemic. PSU Bazaar, with its 50,000+ members, generates a lot of income for operators in the area. It is an activity that recognizes the importance of people and society, reflecting the PSU motto "Our soul is for the benefit of mankind".

Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub explained that Prince of Songkla University established the online marketplace "PSU Bazaar" since April 2020 to assist alumni, students, staff and sponsors during COVID-19 crisis in order to drive the mission of social and humanitarian responsibility according to the university's motto, and in compliance with the policy of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation to drive the economy of the area, appropriately expressed as “University as a marketplace”. With over 50,000 members, PSU Bazaar is a very successful online marketplace to help build a solid economic foundation. Prince of Songkla University has organized the “PSU Bazaar Learning Marketplace” event between 18-21 March 2021 with the support from Central Festival Hatyai, Light Station System Limited Partnership, Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited, Internet Thailand Public Company Limited, Haad Thip Public Company Limited, Weparty Balloon, and Southern Sea Food Products Co., Ltd. A total of 42 shops were present from members of the “PSU Bazaar” group, offering a wide variety of food, beverages, clothing, accessories, and many interesting activities.
