Three distinguished delegates from Kanazawa University (KU), Japan, led by Prof. Dr. Shigeo Tanaka, Advisor to the President for International Affairs, paid a visit to PSU Hat Yai and Surat Thani campuses from 23-29 May 2018. Prof. Tanaka was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Masami Furuuchi, and Prof. Dr. Yoshihiko Uesugi. The objective of this visit was to discuss potential academic collaboration between the two universities.
KU delegates visited the Faculty of Engineering in order to discuss on the development of double degree programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. The discussions with the representatives from each relevant department were positive, and the concept idea has been agreed in general. However, more detailed information need to be further discussed. KU delegates, moreover, visited Surat Thani campus and discussed about student exchange programs, as well as the possibility to conclude a MoU for collaboration in marine science.
