Twenty-one students from various PSU faculties, accompanied by the Asst. Prof. Dr. Kewalin Thammasitboon, Assistant President for International Affairs, and two PSU International Affairs officers, participated in the Exploring ASEAN 2015: Welcome to the Philippines from June 8-12, 2015. The main objective of this program was to provide an opportunity to PSU students to learn more about other ASEAN member country’s culture and traditions.
During the program, students had the great chance to visit several impressive historical sites and modern business places in Manila and Quezon City. They also had the unforgettable and exciting trip to the Taal Volcano, which is the second most active volcano in the Philippines. The highlight of this program was the visit to two outstanding universities in Philippines, namely De La Salle University and the University of Philippines, where our students made many Filipinos friends and exchanged precious knowledge and various experiences about the culture, way of life, and other interesting information of the two countries. PSU do hope that this program will be the important milestone for some students who never traveled abroad, to broaden their mind and challenge them to further explore the world’s cultures.
