The Faculty of Environmental Management of Prince of Songkla University arranged the Annual International Training Course on Global Warming Mitigation and Adaptation by Balancing Sustainable Energy Management 2017 (GSEM), with focus on environmental, social and economic issues, from 16th August-1st September 2017 in Songkhla, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket. This training was supported by the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Participants attending this training came from different parts of the world, with a total of 16 persons from Indonesia, China, Mauritius, Morocco, Nicaragua, Tanzania, Laos, Mexico, Mozambique, Nepal, the Philippines, Sierra Leone, Tonga, Vietnam and Thailand. They had the great chance to listen to special lectures from various expert researchers. Moreover, participants had the opportunity to visit Hua-Sai Wind Power Plant in Nakhon Si Thammarat province and to take a city tour around Songkhla Old Town to experience the way of life of the local people.
The GSEM 2017 Training Director, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kuaanan Techato, addressed a short speech at the closing ceremony and presented certificates to all participants.
