His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun of Thailand kindly appointed Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Valayalaksana to graciously preside over the Prince of Songkla University’s 2018 Convocation Ceremony. The Convocation was held at The 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Center, PSU Hat Yai Campus, from September 21- 23, 2018. A total of 9,277 graduates were presented with degrees, and four Honorary Doctorate Degrees were conferred to Mrs. Chamaiporn Bangkombang (Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Liberal Arts), Professor Prasobsook Boondech (Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Law), Associate Professor Dr. Khunying Sumontha Promboon (Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Science) and Mr. Isara Vongkusolkit (Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering).

        Moreover, PSU was honored to also welcome distinguished executives from close partner universities from Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei, as well as the Director of Confucius Institute and esteemed representatives from the Indonesian and Malaysian Consulates in Songkhla to this special event.

       
After all graduates received their degree, Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Valayalaksana kindly addressed an inspiring speech to all participants.
