PSU Pattani Campus holds a “Korean Studies Workshop for Non-Korean Educators 2017”

          The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, PSU Pattani Campus, together with the Korean Foundation organized the “Korean Studies Workshop for Non-Korean Educators 2017” from May 3-5, 2016 at Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok, in order to brainstorm and create a network of Korean language teaching in Thailand and to promote Korean language study in the vocational education.

          The workshop has been honored by H.E. Mr. Noh Kwang-il, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Thailand, as the guest of honor. Asst. Prof. Dr. Pattara Aiyarak, PSU Vice President for Global Relations and Informatics; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Parit Yinsen, Dean of PSU Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pattani Campus; Thai Korean language teachers, Korean teachers, representatives of secondary students from five regions in Thailand, representatives from the Office of the Basic Education Commission, representative from the Office of the Vocational Education Commission, and Prince of Songkla University attend the seminar.

          The Korea Studies Workshop for Non-Korean Educators 2017 was a great opportunity to learn and acknowledge the progress of the relationship between the Republic of Korea and Thailand. Also, the participants had the chance to exchange points of view on problems and guidelines for managing Korean studies or Korean language teaching in educational institutions both for the standard and vocational education, which will directly affect the improvement of teaching and teachers in the future. The workshop also contributed to the development of  Korean education in Thailand.
