Mr. Xu Mingliang, Consul-General from the Consulate-General of P.R. China in Songkhla, made a courtesy call on the PSU President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul, on September 10, 2012. On this occasion, he also met and discussed with Chinese students currently enrolled at PSU at the faculties of Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, and Natural Resources.

At the welcoming meeting also participated Asst. Prof. Paktra Kooburat, Vice President for Trang Campus; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ram Yamsaengsung, Assistant President for International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adisa Teo, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts; and Associate Professor Ma Zhi, Director of Confucius Institute.

Mr. Xu Mingliang was very keen in learning more about PSU, with regard to the number of students and staff, Thai and foreigners, the number and areas of study of the Chinese students at PSU, and our collaborative activities with other countries. PSU President mentioned that PSU enjoys close friendship with many educational institutions in China, especially in Guangdong, Harbin, Beijing, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Chongqing and Yunnan, as well as almost 30 MOUs with Chinese universities.
