On October 4, 2012, PSU received two distinguished representatives from the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI), Ministry of Education and Culture, Indonesia. Asst. Prof. Dr. Ram Yamsaengsung, Assistant President for International Affairs, and representatives from the International Affairs Office welcomed them.

The leader of the DIKTI delegation, Mr. Yusuf Fuad, a lecturer at Surabaya University, said the objectives of their visit are to meet with the Indonesian students enrolled at PSU, and to discuss future collaborations with PSU. Several Indonesian students received the DIKTI scholarship to further their studies at PSU.

DIKTI offers scholarships to Indonesian lecturers to further their studies abroad. They also support students to do 2–4 months' research work abroad, offer financial support for Indonesian professors visiting foreign universities, and sponsor joint programs between Indonesian and foreign universities. Mr. Fuad expressed his wish to develop collaborations with PSU, and to send more Indonesian students to our high-quality university.
