The main objective of their visit was to discuss the possibility to establish a joint community service program between UMY and PSU. This program will allow students from both universities to embrace an international atmosphere, be exposed to real problems in communities and try to find some innovative solutions, and have the chance to enhance their English and Bahasa Indonesia languages proficiency. Currently UMY has joint community service programs with Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore, and Kanazawa Institute of Technology, Japan.

During the meeting, all delegates agreed that this joint community service program could greatly benefit UMY and PSU students and, therefore, an official agreement to facilitate the implementation of this program will be established in the near future.
