"Ramayana" performance teaches Thai culture to the disabled and disadvantaged.

     Prince of Songkla University arranged a Thai classic masked play ("khon"), enacting scenes from Ramayana: the Battle of Maiyarap, at the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King's Accession to the Throne International Convention Center, HatYai, Songkhla, on February 27 – March 1, 2015.

     On February 27th, PSU arranged a charity event for disabled and disadvantaged in Songkhla province, to learn the art and culture of Thailand by watching a traditional pantomime show, designed to raise public awareness of Thai cultural heritage.

     The event was attended by 405 disabled and disadvantaged people from several institutions and organizations, including the Council of Disabled People of Songkhla, Thammasakon Blind School Hat Yai, Thailand Association of the Blind, Children's Home orphanage in Songkhla (Ban Songkhla), SOS Children's Villages in Songkhla, Baan Wangpa and the Songkhla Social Welfare Development Center for Older Persons.
